You said it, Spurs without Erikksen would be average. I really would like to know what Alli actually does? Is he any good for Spurs or is it just the Tottenham media love in? Kane was invisible although he will be when you are pushed back as a team because he has no pace. Those are the types of games for Vardy.
Makings of a decent defence and reasonable attack but no midfield. Spain took the foot off the pedal and as most have said no creativity at all but where will it come from?!

Spain gave a demonstation if defence. Ots decen e we lack at England and West Ham. Its defence that ultimately wins you things. When those in control get that then the attacking bit will become much easier.

Spain are a good side laden with attacking MF talent in the areas that we are weaker, their WC performance was way below their actual position
We have the makings of a useful side but need a no 10 to challenge the likes of Spain and the top four or five
Southgate is doing well with what he has, Foden is the boy and perhaps Sanchez
Just calm down and watch the lads develop, two years until the Euros, harder than the WC to win, but we will be close to the semis, perhaps in them

If I was Southgate I’d have young Foden of Man City in the squad and start to bring him in via friendlies.
They don’t have someone like Isco who played as though the ball was glued to his foot or Thiago.
